Qassam Brigades in Gaza fired a barrage of rockets at the Tel Aviv area, Times of Israel confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
Warning sirens were heard in Tel Aviv, Holon, Rishon Lezion and surrounding communities.
There were reports of explosions, the regime media added.
Rockets were also fired at the Zionist border town of Kissufim.
Meanwhile, Hamas said that the death toll from the Zionist regime aerial shelling and bombardment passed 7,000.
